The 4×4 access is on Acatenango, with views towards Fuego. The guided hike towards Fuego is an optional extra, subject to conditions and authorization.

Around one hour from the end of the vehicle route to camp. This is a hike at altitude: the 4×4 reduces the walking distance, but physical effort is still required.

The per-person price for the Acatenango 4×4 package, two days and one night, includes transport, a guide, shared mountain accommodation, a sleeping bag, breakfast, dinner, chocolate and park admission. Accommodation is shared, in a cabin or tent; the arrangement is confirmed before booking. No campfire is included. The hike towards Fuego costs extra.
